While puting himself in quaratine at home, Cambodian Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn posted on his Facebook page on Thursday that the incident of “November 3” event could not diminish the good intentions of the Hungarian Foreign Minister’s visit.

Minister Prak Sokhonn said his health is in good condition, while his second test was negative.

“[3 November] incident could not diminish the good intentions, the dignity, and the deep friendship of Szijjártó’s visit, which has brought benefits to bilateral relations,” Sokhonn said.

The minister continued: “Péter Szijjártó becomes popular on social media in Cambodia. There have been mixed reactions on his visit to Phnom Penh. However, it must not be forgotten that Szijjártó, the foreign minister of one of the EU member states, has always dared to stand up for justice for Cambodia.”

“He is a vocal advocate against any interferences in Cambodia’s internal affairs. He is a protester against EU’s EBA partial withdrawal from Cambodia,” Minister Sokhonn underlined.

Péter Szijjártó had tested positive for COVID19 on 4 November 2020 in Bangkok after concluding the official visit to Cambodia. Fresh News
